Initiative on Women in Science and Engineering (IWISE)

Within The New York Stem Cell Foundation (NYSCF) community, we have been told time and again from a variety of stakeholders that something must be done to address the lack of women in science, medicine, and engineering. It is beneficial for the future of science and for people everywhere to encourage more women to not just enter, but remain, excel and truly compete in science. With the enthusiasm of our Innovator community and leaders in the scientific community, NYSCF launched our Initiative on Women in Science and Engineering (IWISE) to help make this possible.

The goal of IWISE is to bring together the brightest, most enthusiastic minds in the field, who will go beyond simply reflecting on these problems and issues by outlining a course of action to help bring about the changes needed to correct this imbalance. The IWISE working group will focus on creating and advocating for actionable and implementable solutions and strategies.
