World Stem Cell Day

World Stem Cell Day occurs annually and brings together organizations and individuals around the world working to ensure that we realize the benefits of one of the most promising scientific fields in our time.

For the millions of people around the world who suffer from incurable disease and injury, World Stem Cell Day is a day to celebrate the scientific advances made to-date and be hopeful of what is yet to come.

For the last three years, NYSCF has partnered with the Harlem Children’s Zone (HCZ) and sent teams of scientists to present to more than one hundred students at HCZ’s schools at their Promise Academies One and Two and HCZ students have also participated in special laboratory tours. NYSCF hopes to encourage students to pursue science as a career, by opening their eyes to the possibilities of stem cell research and the diverse career opportunities in this field.
